abdominal pain gas cramping

I’m 4 months pregnant and w/ upper abdominal pain?
This started today early in the afternoon its kinda like a sharp but dull pain or cramp thats on both sides of my upper stomach like kinda close to my ribs..is it trapped gas?? hopefully its not early cramping i have no bloody show and i have a apt this friday and plan on telling him but its kinda worrying me…does any one know what it might be?? ….i try to burp or pass gas (sorry if tmi) and its kinda hard to do……thanks anything will help to ease my mind till i go with my doc 
could be heartburn if it’s up far enough, or round ligament pain..just the muscles and ligaments stretching to make more room for the baby.
