I have two different results from two doctors….help?

I was feeling every symptom of being pregnant…..except a positive pregnancy test. So I was having a lot of lower abdominal pain and my hormones were terrible. I would cry at the drop of a dime. I am so tired that I could sleep almost to a hypnotized point in a second. I went to one dr on Monday and he said that I had uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. I felt worse yesterday so I went to a different doctor. They told me that I had a urinary tract infection. Both doctors did a pelvic ultrasound. So two different drs, two pelvic ultrasounds….and two different answers. Could I still be pregnant? The dr yesterday said that he didnt “think” I was but sometimes they get surprises. I did have my tubes tied and i believe burned about 8 years ago. Could I be pregnant?

Hi – this is difficult, but you almost certainly aren’t pregnant.

The symptoms you have could belong to either or BOTH diagnoses. What did Doctor One propose to do about your symptoms? And what did Doctor Two propose to do about the UTI?

I would suggest you go back to Doctor Two and tell him what Doctor One suggested. I doubt Doctor One would be thrilled to find out you had sought a second opinion. You should really have returned to Doctor One regarding the worsening symptoms.
