abdominal pain persistent
Blood in stool, abdominal pain and persistent cough?
I am seeing a doctor Monday, but I am wondering if anyone has had these symptoms and might know what it might be…I started coughing a lot in June all the way to now…. I had a fever a couple months ago and I couldn’t leave my bed because my left abdomen was swollen and it hurt to use the toilet.
When I did use the toilet I felt like my stomach was about to drop…if that makes any sense. I also had bright blood and little clots in my stool. Anyway, that lasted for two days and I ignored it. A couple weeks later I had the bloody stool again and unfortunately ignored it.
Well, my coughing has gotten worse and a couple of days ago I had bloody stool yet again so I am seeing a doc on Monday. If anybody has had these symptoms and have any idea what this might be I would appreciate your input. Thanks a bunch!
What you describe involve probably 3 or more systems (respiratory, Gastrointestinal and hemalogic) I dought that they are separate events. What might very well be all related to one condition. It is imperative, crucial!!! that you see your doctor. If fact, be there one hour before your appointment. He might see you sooner or might order some labs so get things moving. I do not know your age. But my specialty is pediatric. Either way what I say to you applies. I cannot I you should not expect to hear from someone to tell you exactly that the same thing that happened to him or her , is waht it happened to you. Be patient, see your Doctor. NOW; IF YOU HAVE OTHER PROFUSE RECTAL BLEEDING, CONTINUE WITH ABDOMINAL PAIN AND THIS CHRONIC COUGH, GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND GET THE BALL ROLLING FASTER.
