Will I be able to do sports?

I was diagnosed with infectious mononucleoses in the end of January. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital. I had enlarged spleen (15cm) and increased levels in ALT tests. Plus I had some pain in upper abdominal where my spleen and liver are located. After discharge from the hospital my ALT results improved but still weren’t perfect and my spleen at that point hadn’t really changed in size. Doctors told me that I can return to normal life only I have to avoid physical activities for couple months. I’ve tried to do some pick up basketball games in March and after the games I felt some mild soaring in my abdominal area were spleen and liver are. So how will I know that it’s ok to return to sports and when should I be expecting it?

your liver and spleen are inflammed. avoid contact sport to avoid aggravating it and cause further inflammation or even rupture. when you do physical sports your internal organs rub against each other. since your spleen and liver are inflammed they can get abrased by physical activities. try to rest for a while. just follow your doctors advise. when your spleen and liver returns to its normal state you can do all the sports you want.

Bye our furry Chippy-Chippy :-(
