abdominal pain mucous stool
Any Idea What The Problem Could Be?
I have had a sore throat,(sinus) – post nasal drip (particulary at night & in the morning when I wake,its fine trhough out the day its been happening the last few days,am on a low carb diet for the last 3-4 weeks cut out sugar completley as I am treating a suspected candida infection so now am eating as much organic food as possible.
few weeks back had abdominal pains with with a few loose stools with mucous in them,my doc gave me anemas & a sigmoidoscopy to rule out a few things as he thought I had bowel inflammation,was fine.have I think some digestive problems in the upper g.i. tract, with these cold & sinus like syptoms going on the last few days have had mucous with a lil bit of light red blood on the outet part of my stool? am goin to see my g.p. thurs, any ideas??
am going to ask my g.p about a colonoscopy?
Red blood in the stool comes from something closer to your anus. 99% of the time, it is an anal fissure, or a hemorrhoid. Since, you’ve been having some bathroom issues this is not uncommon at all.
The rest of it could be just a GI virus that did some damage. It’ll heal soon enough, if that’s the case.
