upper abdominal pain chest pain
Upper abdominal pain with light vaginal bleeding? What’s up with my body y’all?
M’kay so, I’ve been having upper abdominal pains for the past 7-8 months and they are an 8 on a 1-10 scale but they were very random and far/few in between and only lasted 5-10 mins, so I brushed it off. For the past 2 mos, they’ve become more often and last about 15-20 mins and cause severe nausea. Within the past 1-2 weeks, the pain has began lingering and causing chest pains/nausea.
Since I 1st began having pains, I began slowly pushing myself to get a primary and go see them. Well today, I have vaginal bleeding which is much more than spotting but less than period and I’m not due for my monthly for another 1-2 weeks.
So obviously, I’m calling a local doctor in the morn to schedule an emergency appt but in the meantime, would like some insight as to what the problem may be. My diet hasn’t changed much except for mostly eliminating sugary/salty foods. I take Advil often ( zero-10 pills per week for back pain for the past 6-7 yrs).
Any ideas?
Could be a few things.
If you have these pains unrelated to vaginal discharge, that is if this time was just a coincidence, it could be your gallbladder
You could also have developed gastritis (irritated stomach lining) or an ulcer (esp with the Advil).
If it usually does occur with your period or with in-between spotting you might have endometriosis. Bits of stray uterine lining may actually escape and adhere elsewhere with your abdominal cavity (but not in your thoracic cavity).
If you are having this w/o bleeding by bet is on your gallbladder.
Sorry you have been sick.
Update:
I forgot to mention that another Y!A person has been ill with what was a mysterious illness causing pain in the stomach area. The name of the malady is costochondritis.
This video series has nothing to do with it but might take your mind off it:
