upper abdominal pain bloating
Ovarian cyst? or something more?
Most important things: I’m 19, not pregnant, my periods are irregular, and my last one ended about 2 weeks ago.
Ever since my period ended, I’ve been having:
- severe abdominal bloating
- stabbing pains in my right ovary
- stabbing abdominal pain, also around the navel
- pain in my right side
- constant burning lower and upper back pain, sometimes specifically my right lower back
- severe pain in my right breast – but it does not hurt to touch
- pelvic pain on my right
- sometimes the pain extends to my thighs/legs
My symptoms are getting worse everyday. I’m also under alot of exam stress now, and I’m getting a pelvic ultrasound next week.
Could this be an ovarian cyst? Or something more?
Another thing – I sometimes have ovulation pain, maybe a bit of a twinge near an ovary, but NEVER ongoing pain this severe.
It makes me worry.
Calm down! You definitely need medical intervention and are doing the right thing by getting the sono. You may have poly cystic ovarian disease. You can not neglect this. Once you get diagnosed and treated, you will be less stressed and be able to focus on school. I had a polyp removed from my uterus recently! It was an ambulatory procedure. The best thing to do is not neglect this and postpone Dr’s appointments and you will be fine, good luck!
